December 13, 2009 - LLBBC 19th Anniversary

Our church have gone to a lot of spiritual battle. Fighting the enemy is not easy and victory is not certain without the power of God. As we look back at our beginning, we were few in number when we had our first Church anniversary. We faced many physical and spiritual challenges in obedience to the call of God to proclaim the Gospel. We met opposition and hardships within and without.. We saw the hand of God moved to protect us from persecution and preserve us in this place up to this day so we can continue to study the Word of God, fellowship together and worship God year after year. We also struggled financially and materially but in the coming years things begin to change as we learn to faithfully give ourselves to the Lord, as we see the importance of winning souls and  investing in the work that has eternal dividends and as we acknowledged God who planted us on a  Foundation who is steadfast and sure.  Now, our number has grown and expect to increase because some have  planted, others have watered and still others continue to sow and harvest. We praised God that He has given us a pastor who is ready to lead, to teach, and to fight with us the good fight of faith. We thanked God for the leadership of our two deacons and the loyalty of our church workers to fulfill our vision to rise up and build. We also recognized our Baptist Youth Stewards for their  support of our program to keep our young people from the evil influences of the world by giving them Christian and Spirit-filled activities in the church. Amen for we still follow the old fashioned and traditional form of worship and singing of hymns that our forefathers  loved.

Our theme "Where He sends, we will go"  is a response not all of us can give but absolutely can help make the mission of our Church a success especially when our emphasis is on power through prayer, surrender and holiness of life.  We have to enlarged our tent and mobilize ourselves by giving more to the work of God of our time, talent and treasure if we want to make a spiritual impact in our city. God has blessed our church because we responded heartily to God's call. We are now regularly supporting three foreign and three local missionaries through our Faith Promise Offering fund this year.  We believe that it is God's grace that we are able to give so that whatever we promise God that we will give when He send to us the amount we ask for missions. Our goal is to add more missionaries who deserve our prayer and support as the Lord provides. Let's  pray that we will be able to send out our first missionary to the mission field by the year 2010.

Glorying God is the purpose of this celebration otherwise our anniversary means nothing at all. "To Him be glory in the church"

Congratulations and happy 19th Anniversary!!!

Sincerely in Christ
